The Pythians Could Take the Field. Baseball’s Association Kept Them Out.
The Pythian Base Ball Club had sent a representative to Harrisburg with the credentials a baseball club needed to join Pennsylvania’s state association. At the convention on October 16, 1867, the credentials committee reported favorably on other clubs.
