Our editorial standard is simple: a story should be worth reading even if there are no advertisements on the page. Quality takes precedence over a daily quota.

Material historical claims require credible, independent evidence. Multiple websites repeating one underlying report do not count as independent corroboration. Unresolved factual conflicts keep a story from publication.

Research and writing are separate. Sources support individual facts; their prose, headlines and story structures are not templates to copy. We do not invent dialogue, quotations or historical details.

Artwork is an optional editorial enhancement. When an article has an image, we use an approved story-specific illustration or historical imagery with positively verified and recorded rights. Illustrations are never presented as historical photographs. We do not use unrelated generic images or assume that internet availability grants usage rights.

HSC uses AI-assisted research and writing tools. Every published article must pass factual, originality and quality checks. When an illustration is used, it receives a separate visual review before publication.
